RICHIE KAYE’S MUSIC & MIRTH

For nearly a decade, Richie Kaye and Ernesto Vega (saxophone and clarinet) have entertained delighted guests at South Texas private functions from intimate family dinners to customer events for a 1,000 attendees.  The duo plays light upbeat jazzy melodies with a quick rhythmic feel that enlivens the atmosphere while never overwhelming the listener.  You might call this a Frank Sinatra and Stan Getz kind of duo because you will enjoy the skilled musical craftsmanship that Richie and Ernesto display in every song.  Whether they’re playing American popular music or bossa nova or ragtime swing or a honky-tonk number, you’ll always feel like you’re having a great good time.

THE NEW OLD-TIMERS

Richie Kaye and pedal steel virtuoso Jody Cameron play classic Countrypolitan music for the tuxedo and Stetson crowd who wants a vintage bar-room 1950s feel that’s still sophisticated and elegant.  Richie sings in the style of country crooners Ray Price, Faron Young, Jack Greene and George Jones; and Jody twangs and cries the steel guitar with a beauty reminiscent of Buddy Emmons (with whom he studied), Jimmy Day, Lloyd Green and Tom Brumley.  You may find yourself tapping your toes and singing along, even as you enjoy the friendly, enlivened ambience with your guests.
